Workshops
no.w.here runs regular workshops on the equipment available in the lab. We also run wide ranging thematic workshops that combine philosophical and practical ways of thinking and using film and video, and develop bespoke workshops with visiting artists. Our workshops can be delivered both on and offsite.

All courses at no.w.here fill up quickly and spaces are only available on a strictly first come, first serve basis. Payment can be made by card over the phone or by cash or cheque by prior arrangement.

Cancellations policy

In the event of no.w.here having to cancel or postpone a course you are entitled to a full refund. If you cannot attend a workshop you have booked, a 50% refund is available with 6 to 10 days notice. Absolutely no refunds can be made 5 days before the workshop.

Stitching in Time
A Cameraless Film Workshop
Saturday 17 January 2015, 10:30am- 4:40pm
William Morris Gallery, London.
£45 for non-members, £30 no.w.here members and concessions. Booking essential.
Coinciding with the William Morris Gallery's Alke Schmidt exhibition 'Tangled Yarns', this hands-on workshop explores how artists have used stitching onto film to examine the politics of cloth.

Family Day at Serpentine Gallery
Free. Takes place at Sackler Centre for Education, Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Gardens, London W2 2AR. 12 - 5pm Sunday 1st February 2015
This Family Day is inspired by Julio Le Parcís exhibition at Serpentine Sackler Gallery (25 Nov 2014 to 15 Feb 2015). Families are very welcome to visit this immersive and interactive exhibition any time during Gallery opening hours.

We Cannot Unsee
Call for applications
Various dates throughout January, February and March 2015. Please see main page for full details.
no.w.here and BFI are inviting applications from emerging artists to participate in a Wellcome Trust funded film project called 'We Cannot Unsee'. The deadline for applications is 31st December 2014.

Experimental Folklore 2:
Battel Bonfire Super 8 workshop
Dates: Saturday the 1st and 8th of November 2014, 10:30 - 11pm day one, 10:30 - 5:30 day two. £115 for no.w.here members £150 non-members. Takes place at no.w.here and at Battel in Sussex. Please note that the price of the workshop does not include the cost of train travel to and from Battel which you need to book at: www.nationalrail.co.uk
This unique Super 8 camera workshop is based around the traditional Battel Bonfire celebrations in Sussex.

Arduino for artist filmmakers
Digital controlling Super 8 cameras
October 11th 2014, 10:30 - 5pm. no.w.here first floor, 316 - 318 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 0AG. Price: £77 for members and £110 for non-members.
This one day workshop introduces the micro-processing board Arduino, and explores how digital programming tools can be deployed within artists moving image practice, in this case automating a Super 8 camera by movement alone.
