LFF Experimenta:
Images without Cameras

Takes place at BFI Southbank (Learning Spaces), Friday 14th October 2016.
13:30-17:30. Cost £12.00/£8.00 student concession. For 12 participants only. To book please click here.

Drawing influence from the work of artists selected for this year’s BFI LFF Experimenta programme, this practical workshop presented in collaboration with no.w.here will immerse participants in the almost limitless potentials of photogramming onto 16mm film to make images without cameras. Under the guidance of artist James Holcombe, participants will use a range of found footage fragments, objects, and torches to produce abstract film collages which will be hand processed in a Learning Space at BFI Southbank, which for one afternoon becomes a temporary autonomous darkroom, and a space for conversation, ideas, and sharing. Towards the end of the session all films produced will be spliced together and projected.
