This intensive, hands on workshop explores the relationship between the moving image, nature and the filmstrip. Over two consecutive Saturdays, participants have the opportunity to experiment with cameraless filmmaking techniques and how these can be affected by nature through the use of organic found and prepared materials, moulds and vegetable dyes, and bacterial and atmospheric
decomposition of found footage via exposure to the elements. The course includes a screening of work by artists such as Jurgen Reble, Stan Brakhage, David Gatten, and Thorsten Fleisch.
