Yu Araki's work traces the path of a small figurine he has swallowed as it passes through his own internal organs. The miniature camera he swallows to search for the figure is engaged in both a travel though the self, and an encounter with a massively confusing mystery. As viewers, we experience the discomfort of the body that has swallowed the camera - his very physical bodily sensations. At the same time, while voyaging through his digestive system in search of the miniature figure, we experience the uncanny physical sensation of becoming one with the camera.
